Warren Chappell cut Lydian™ Family, an exotic-looking sans serif, for American Type Founders in 1938. Lydian Family features calligraphic letterforms, and was a perfect fit for America's passion for casual sans types and informal scripts. Lydian Family was incredibly popular and seen in ad layouts nationwide, while every newspaper and magazine publisher seemed to have this design on hand. While its loose spacing and upright stance make it appropriate for small sections of larger text, Lydian Family works best at display sizes. Character Set: Latin-1
