Blesk is a chromatic typeface inspired by vintage book covers and designed for magazines, headlines, theater, animated titles, three-dimensional printing, literary foils, mysteries and other display needs. The name, Blesk, borrows the Czech word for lightning, flash or thunder. The drawing plays off the contrast of conventional zaftig letterforms with subtle Eastern-European tinge, contrasting them with sharp lightning-bolt inlines. Ranging from Blesk Solid (capable of handling longer text blocks) to the louder layering potential of seven different combinations. Intermingling Blesk styles allow for shape-shifting, from a dimensional look via complementary colors, to more dramatic clashes that can be uniquely emphasized when printed off-register, bringing in sense of age, modernism, and craftsmanship.
