Nitti Grotesk is the proportional companion to Pieter van Rosmalen’s monospaced family Nitti. The series has its roots in the first sans-serif designs of the 19th century. Originally a British invention, the quirky and often idiosyncratic shapes of the “grotesque” style lend it a humanity and warmth that is still appreciated among many graphic designers today. Van Rosmalen worked the peculiarities of these early sans-serifs into a versatile, contemporary family of seven weights with extended Latin character set and OpenType features. Bold Monday, 2014
